Welcome to the web page of the Townsville Photographic Society.

The society is a very informal collection of people interested in photography and the exchange of photographic ideas. We have no office holders, joining fees or much formality at meetings.

The monthly meetings are held from 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month at:   

 The Rising Sun Hungry Jacks fast food restaurant.

(This is just a temporary venue - this info will be updated in the near future when the new permanent venue is confirmed)

Activities include monthly "Themes" and monthly group outings.

• Refreshments at meetings are paid for by a meeting sub of  $2.00 per attendee per meeting.
• Visitors are welcome to come and view our efforts. Active entry to post photos on this site & in the Gallery is restricted to registered members of the society. 
• Registration entails turning up to a meeting and filling in the Membership Register.

  JULY 2009 UPDATE IN BRIEF:

• IMPORTANT INFO:  The meeting venue is changing starting with the August meeting, and will no longer be held at the Annandale Community Centre. As a temporary venue we are meeting at the Rising Sun Hungry Jacks, but this should only be for the next month or two.
• Theme to be presented at the next monthly meeting (July)... "Odd Angles"
• This month's outing... Pallarenda at 7am on Sunday 2nd August. Drive past the "ring road" at the end of Pallarenda and through the gate to the quarantine station area, and we'll meet in the car park there.
• Next meeting... Tuesday 11th August 2009
