Our March meeting will be here soon! March 10 from 2PM-4PM to be specific. We'll be meeting again at the Huntsville Madison County Public Library in the A/B room.
Some fun activities for this meeting include a vignette competition and set draft! For the vignette, bring a spring themed vignette. The winning creation will be photographed for use as our next background on this website!
The set draft will be 7292-1: Propellor Adventures, pictured here. Please bring a set with you to participate. Target appears to have good stock at their stores in town.
Finally, if you've been working on a ribbon model for the Nashville store, please bring that with you. Pete needs to collect them all in time for delivery to the store. |

I heard from LEGO today and TVLTC has been awarded the task of building 40 Brand Ribbon Models for the store opening in Opry Mills in Nashville early this year. These models are displayed in the cases that line the circumference of the store. Our models should be arriving on Feb 3 and the store is set to open on March 29th. We need to have them all built and ready to deliver no later than March 16th. Stay tuned as we schedule a build party, or two!

As of our January meeting, your "interim" officers are now official. Peter Campbell was elected President and Webmaster, Jennifer Garlen Vice President and Publicity Chairperson and Chris Bolton was elected to the office of Secretary. I'd like to thank my fellow officers for their willingness to keep this club going strong and look forward to a fun filled 2012 with all the members of TVLTC!

Please note the time for this Saturday's meeting is different from normal. We will be meeting from noon - 2PM at the Huntsville / Madison County Public Library in the A/B room. Just come in the main entrance and the meeting rooms are immediately to the right.
Business of note will be officer elections for 2012, a BrickFair report and several exciting announcements from the LEGO group! There will be no set draft, but if you have minifigs to trade or items for show and tell, please remember to bring them.
This meeting is open to the public. |

With our December show behind us now hopefully we can all enjoy a little break and perhaps look forward to a few LEGOs in our stockings.
As we head into 2012 be thinking about the elections for club officers. Nominations can be made via e-mail to any club officer or to the club's e-mail address. Our bylaws have provisions for a President, Vice President, Secretary, Webmaster and Publicity Chairperson. We need to at least fill the positions of President, Vice President and Secretary. Elections will occur at our January meeting.
Also, don't forget our next big event, BrickFair, in Birmingham! There will no doubt be an e-mail thread going around soon to coordinate our plans for this exciting show.
Until then, I hope you all have a merry Christmas and happy New Year!
