Unnikrishnan T, Thekkeppat House, P.O.Vaka, Via Mattam, Thrissur District,Kerala-680602.

WELCOME

Born as the son of  an astrologer, Thekkeppat Kuttan Kaimal and Malamel Pattiath Saraswathy Amma Unnikrishnan has the penchant for numbers in his early life. He studied the first chapters of mathematics from his father. After it he sign up for his primary education from Malathy Upper Primary School Vaka. He completed his Secondary school life from St.Francis Higher Secondary School for Boys Mattam. After it he joined for the Pre-Degree course in Sreekrishna College Guruvayoor and continued until his Degree in Mathematics with first class. He remembers all mathematics Teachers as his boon. Prof. T.S.Balasubrahmanian and Dr. V.K.Krishnan Namboothiri are his most favorites among them as they showed him the best ways of research works.

He has a very good experience in teaching almost every subjects of mathematics. He was a guest Lecturer of Avanoor Santha H.S.S and N.S.S.H.S.S Mundathicode. He have more than three years experience in Victoria College (Parallel) Kunnamkulam and P.G.Centre Thrissur for teaching BSc & MSc students of  Mathematics.

He is not only interested in Mathematics but also Computer Science and Astrology. After Completion of his Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application he worked with Sparknet, Kunnamkulam and worked with District Soil Conservation Ofice, Thrissur as Part-time Computer Accountant for three years. Mr.Krishnakumar and Late Mr.Omanakkuttan are brothers.

Now he is in a totally different field as Junior Research Fellow in the department of Livestock Production Management. Although he is practising his ancestors job as an Astrologer for the last fifteen years with a Designation "Jothisha Vidhya Visarada" received from Kerala Jothisha Parishath after completion of the three year Diploma in Astrology. Also he is the editor of a journal in mathematics which will publishing soon from Thrissur.

He is very good script writer in Malayalam with a thinking comedy style. He is a very good player of both Chess and Cricket. He have participated for the Calicut University Chess Championship held at Bethany in 1999. He is an all-rounder in cricket with a mix of all varieties of balls in both seem and Spin.

His ideas are known now, by the special care of Dr. A.P.J.Abdulkalam, Honourable president of India who kindly gave an appointment for his interest in mathematics when he visited Kerala in the Matha Amruthanadamayi festival. He advised him to contact Dr.N.Balakrishnan of IISc and after it his materials are passed to Dr.R.Balasubrahmanian of IMSc. He advised him to endulge in Primality Testings and encouraged a lot.

After it he received various presentation from all over his contacts, which include Malathy U.P.School, St.Francis H.S.S. Mattam, Sreekrishna College Guruvayur, District Soil Conservation Office, Thrissur District Panchayath, Mullassery Block Panchayath, Elavally Grama Panchayath, Kaladeepam Library, Kurukshethra Kalasamithy, Vaka Library, Puranattukara H.S.S,Chittattukara YMCA. A new telefilm is under construction by directorr Sethu Eyyal named "Tharattu" in which he was done the story , script and dialogue.

His famous work is a partial proof of Fermat's Last Theorem the full proof of it is available inthe link :

IS FERMAT’S LAST THEOREM TRUE? - A Number theoretic Approach

Introduction : Fermat’s last theorem states that “xn+yn=zn has no nonzero integer solution for x,y,z  when n>2”.  Pierre de Fermat wrote “I have discovered a truly wonderful proof which this margin is too small to contain”. Fermat almost certainly wrote the marginal note around 1630, when he first studied Diaphantus “Arithmetica”.Unfortunately no proof has been found and his theorem remained unsolved as one of the most baffling unresolved problems of mathematics for over three and a half centuries. Some mathematician even disregarded the theorem thinking FLT as incorrect or fatous. But attack on proving the theorem or showing that the theorem is wrong is gone on.This theorem has a long history of inducing mathematicians to develop more and more theories to solve it.Volumes and volum es of higher mathematics have been created in an effort to prove or disprove the assertion. It has the classic ingredients of  a problem to catch the imagination of a wide public – “a simple statement widely understood but a proof which defeats greatest intellects”.

It is worth noting that at this stage it remained to prove Fermat’s last theorem for odd prime n only. For this if there are integers x,y,z such that  xn+yn=zn, then if n=pq, (xp)q+(yp)q =(zp)q , which will contradict the case of primes p.

Despite large prizes being offered for a  solution, Fermat’s last theorem remained unsolved. Also it has the dubious distinction of  being the theorem with largest number of published false proofs.Between 1908 & 1912 over 1000 false proofs had been published. The only progress seemed to be  computing results which merely showed that any counter example will be very large. In 1983 a major contribution was made by Gerd Faltings who proved that for every n>2, there are atmost a finite number of co-prime integers x,y,z with xn+yn=zn. But a proof that the finite number was zero in all cases didn’t seem likely to follow  by extending Faltings arguments.

In 1955 Yutaka Thaniyama asked some questions about elliptic curves. Further work by Weil & Shimura produced a conjucture now known as Shimura-Thaniyama-Weil conjucture. Further work by other mathematicians showed that a counter example to Fermat’s last theorem would provide a counter example to Shimura-Thaniyama-Weil conjucture.

In 1993 Andrew wiles a British mathematician working at Princeton in U.S.A. gave a series of 3 lectures at Isaac Newton Institute of Cambridge. On Wednesday 23/06/93 at around 10:30 A.M. Wiles announced his proof of Fermat’s last theorem as a corollary to his main results. This however is not the end of the story. On 4 December 1993 Andrew wiles made a statement in view of his speculation & withdrew his claims to have a proof. Thus it was not a proof when it was announced. In august 1994 Wiles addressed the international congress of Mathematicians but was no nearer to solve the difficulties. Also the proof which is proved recently using Algebraic Geometry contains over 200 pages.

other research work includes the trisection of Angles using compasses and Ruler only, an open problem for more than thousands of years, the link is : ExplanationfortheMethodofTrisectingAnglesUsingCompas.pdfHis  a theorem in graph theory on planarity of graphs link : Fourcolourconjecture.pdf, a prime number theorem "if p is a prime > 5 then p2 - 1 = multiple of  24 etc....
