CVSWMD Reuse Opportunity Grants: "The grant program is designed to provide technical and financial support to individuals and new or developing reuse businesses. It also supports endeavors that educate the public about the social, economic, and environmental benefits of reuse."

Jenny's Heroes: The Jenny Jones Foundation is awarding $25,000 grants to everyday citizens for projects that are making a difference in their communities.  A grant could be used to help renovate the Parish House to make it more energy efficient and more functional for community groups - or for other projects.  The Foundation gave away $1,000,000 in 2008 and is giving another $1,000,000 in 2009.  The initial application is very short and simple.  Selected projects are invited to submit a full proposal for review.

This is great to see so much thought so fast (fast compared to me). The First Branch Sustainibility group is thinking of activities for International 350 day on October the 24th, trying to create widespread awareness about global climate change. I am interested in opportunities, where we can get involved inasfar as we individually would like to.

Could someone ring the church bell 350 times at noon on Saturday? It sounds like a lot, but then I suppose that's the point. I read in the Herald that several churches in the area plan to. I just checked 350.org and no actions are registered for Tunbridge yet, but there sure is a lot happening all over Vermont. I'm sorry I can't help, but I'll be returning from San Diego that day.
