The Touro University Nevada Anesthesiology Interest Group (TUN AIG) will endeavor to provide a deeper understanding of the spectrum of clinical practice of Anesthesiology than what is required by the curriculum of TUNCOM as well as provide information useful in the pursuit of a career in Anesthesiology or any of its subspecialties.  In doing so, TUN AIG will offer members affiliation with both the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists (AOCA) and its allopathic counterpart, the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). 

Objectives

·         Educate students about Anesthesiology through lectures, discussions, podcasts, and informal social events.

·         Provide opportunities for hands on workshops designed to allow medical students learn technical skills inherently valuable to the practice of Anesthesiology.

·         Facilitate and provide information about elective rotations in Anesthesiology and its subspecialties to members.

·         To aid students in the match process and in choosing an anesthesiology residency by providing surveys of anesthesiology residency programs from previous applicants.
