The Tulsa Engineering Challenge (TECh) is a Tulsa Engineering Foundation (TEF) event that promotes science, math, and engineering in the community by providing hands-on activities for the creative youth of Oklahoma. During this one day event, students from all over Northeastern Oklahoma will compete for cash prizes, some new technology prizes and awards in various engineering categories.
TECh began in 1988 with three categories. Today, TECh has grown to more than ten categories in which students design and build a specified device and compete with other students according to a common set of rules.

There are other contests open to all participants the day of the challenge that do not require advanced preparation. Also, since TECh is held in an airport hanger, there are some fascinating displays relating to airplanes. Local companies and engineering organizations also setup booths where students can learn about careers in science and engineering.
