Uhuru




This rhythm stems from one of the 6/8 bell patterns and this particular melodic interpretation of it was one of Baba's bread and butter rhythms.
It is a piece of music that Baba sang while accompanying Martin Luther King on civil rights marches.

Uhuru is the highest point in Africa, atop Mount Kilimanjaro, and is Swahili for freedom.

This rhythm accompanies much of Baba's healing and spiritual music.
