A lumped-parameter model is developed. It can handle the following subsystems - Gear pairs
- Two disks that are connected with a mesh spring that represents the gear teeth.
- Planetary gears
- Sun, ring and carrier may have bearings, which are represented by radial springs, that connect to ground.
- Planets have bearings, which are represent ed by radial springs, that connect to the carrier.
- Inertias such as shafts and flywheels
These subsystems can be connected by torsional springs to one another. The program outputs are - Modal analysis
- Natural frequencies
- Displacements in a given modes shape
- Kinetic energy in the mass elements in a given mode,
- Potential energy in the spring elements in a given mode
- Forced response
