Well, it was slow going this morning on the way to work, but at least I had brought along the Mayer to read this time. No wasting those precious sixty minutes bothering with the drone of Public Broadcasting or Jimmy's Blue Island Haze. Why is it that the traffic lights are always green when I have a good article to browse, but endlessly red when I have left my edutainment materials on the desk? I have noticed that there are enormous numbers of folks who really love their jobs. That's encouraging, because everyone should like what they spend the majority of their time doing. But, it's the swerving in and around traffic, tailgating, horn-blowing work enthusiasts who put the rest of us in danger. And no use telling me that they happen to be late today, because it is always the same ones...you almost get to know them personally; there goes 'joe ferrari, ' must be 7:18...now where's my IEEE.... |
