 | Welcome to the best school in the West! Truman Elementary is home to the Thunderbirds. It houses the best teachers, the best students, and the best instructional methods under one roof. Truman students Strive Onward Always Respectful (SOAR), and they lay a foundation here upon which they accomplish great things. Truman is located in West Valley, Utah at the corner of 4700 South and 3200 West. The school, which was built in 1978, houses nearly 550 students. Truman students experience a quality education from caring teachers and instructional leaders. Also, Truman students participate in monthly school assemblies, school sing-a-longs, debate, foreign language study, band, orchestra, Meet-the-Master's art program, chorus, technology training, six-traits writing, Imagine It! reading, the medieval fair, the school fun run, and much more.
