No Truckin Freeways

Where's Bernadette Next?

Thanks to everyone who supported me for the federal, municipal and provincial campaigns. The votes are adding up and sending a message that Surrey is opposed to Gateway and the South Fraser Freeway and wants more sustainable transit options.

There is no current election, but who knows what will happen.  In the meantime, I am still working to overturn the Liberal's destructive Gateway, freeway plans and promote more sustainable development for  the South Fraser Waterfront.

Lawn Chairs For Bus Stops

posted ‎‎Nov 12, 2008 9:01 AM‎‎ by Bernadette Keenan   [ updated ‎‎Nov 12, 2008 9:27 AM‎‎ ]

Bernadette announced this Grassroots  initiative the all Candidates meeting in Semiahmoo last week.

Recycle those stained but still standing Lawn chairs.   Put them out at a bus stop, with no bench,  near you, to make life easier for a bus riders, heros of the Planet.  Taking the bus protects the environment for all of us and they are not appreciated, have to wait for buses that come too infrequently and are often crowded.  Give a transit user a break and keep that plastic chair out of a land fill.
