Summer Camp Info Still Needed

posted ‎‎Jun 10, 2009 8:00 AM‎‎ by Andrew Willyard   [ updated ‎‎Jun 24, 2009 7:48 AM‎‎ ]
Three quick things -

1: We will have a regular meeting next Tuesday night  - see you there.

2: The trip to the Spy Museum has been postponed.

3: The message below was forwarded from Mrs. Coffey.

Good evening all. Just a reminder, because the time for camp is fast approaching. I would like the selections for merit badges turned in to me by the end of the week. I realize that we are not meeting this week, so I am requesting that you please email your selections to me. The list for merit badges and any prerequisites were handed out a few weeks ago, so I feel this is ample time to have made your choices. This does not include the first year boys who will be taking the swimming and leatherwork merit badges, along with the Trail Blazer program.

Speaking of first year boys. There is still time for our brand new guys (Sean, Daniel and Luke) to join in with the troop and enjoy a week at summer camp.  Just let me know. We are leaving on June28, and will be back by noon on July 4th. the cost is $210.00  There are still some outstanding deposits due. If you are not sure what your ballance is, you may call me at 869-1995 or you can check with Mr Showalter at the next regular meeting.

Also as a reminder to parents of  all scouts who are taking  regular daily medications. It is suggested that you please do not take your son off regular medications for his week at camp. We have found that this can add stress to a boy while he is away from home, and detract from his enjoyment of summer camp. The last few years at camp, with the permission of the parents, the leaders have very successfuly  taken on the responsibility of administering medications to the boys. This has worked very well.

Thank you to all leaders who have committed to being at camp, with our boys. we really do have a fantastic troop. My email address is  at1mom@yahoo.com  thanks again.
