Here's the latest news from the troop.
1) Upcoming Events -
a) Meetings -
There will be two more meetings before school closes for winter break, Dec. 7th
& 14 at Drum Intermediate School at 7PM.
b) Skagit River
Eagle Float Trip - January 16-17 - The cost for this camping trip is currently
set at $35 for each scout and $50 for each adult going on the trip. At this
point, we have a total of 13 people planning to go on the trip, but if we can
get that number up to 20 or more, the prices drop $10 per person to $25/scout
& $40/adult.
c) Eagle Scout
Court of Honor - On Saturday, December 19th, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, six
Troop 438 scouts will be presented their Eagle Scout Rank at St. Lukes Memorial
Episcopal Church, 3615 N Gove St,, (directions www.stlukestacoma.org/directions.html).
All current scouts and their families are encouraged to attend. This the
highest achievement in Scouting, and as the parent of one of the new Eagle
Scouts, I want to make sure all of you know we would like to see all of the
scouts attend this improtant celebration.
2) Annual Dues - The annual dues for next year are now
due. This year's fees are as follows:
a) Troop Dues
(required) - $50
b) National Dues
(required) - $15
c) Boys Life
(optional) - $10.80
Please make your check payable to Troop 438, and bring it
to one of the meetings this month. If you need to make several smaller
payments, please let me know, and we will make arrangements as needed.
3) An updated troop roster was sent out with this email message.
