Biography x Brad Vigansky

I was born in Michigan on August 10, 1931.   I have surviving 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  My parents are diseased with 2 brothers and a sister.

I went to a small rural country school during my early years of schooling.  The name of that school was Landon, which my Mother attended as a child and my grand-mother was a teacher at the school.  It was a real old-time type country school with an old coal stove that the big kids had to take turns keeping the coal supplied for heat during the winter time.  We had three months of summer away from the school to be on the farms working.  Yes we had child labor and we really worked.   We lived in a fruit producing area and the whole summer was spent in the berry fields, orchards, and hay fields.  We didn't make very much, but then hamburger was 11 cents a pound.  I can remember getting an ice cream cone for 5 cents and a double dip for 7 cents.  We didn't wear shoes during the summer.  The soles of our feet got tough and we really didn't mind it.  I really didn't care to put shoes on when we had to go back to school.   Actually we were eager for summer school vacation to start so that we didn't have to bother with shoes.  With shoe rationing during the Second World War, it really helped the war effort to go barefooted.

I graduated from High School in 1949.  It was New Troy High School in New Troy, Michigan.

I then spent 2 years in the US Army during 1950-1952 during the Korean war. While in the army I worked in data processing.  I spent many years after my service as a data processing operator and a computer programmer followed by becoming a systems analyst.

I also have a loving family of 2 beautiful daughters, 5 wonderful grand-children and 6 adorable great-grand-children.

I moved from Michigan to Texas in 1981.

In 1988 I moved from Texas to Port Charlotte, Florida where I now reside.

I am now retired and work with my computer My current activities are mainly directed toward making a decent living using my computer. I am working with two companies where you can actually earn money and get paid. There are a lot of good companies out there, but caveat emptor. (Do you remember your Latin?)

My hobbies are music and gardening. I use a music composer for producing my own arrangements of my favorite music. And love listening to the productions.

My gardening consists of raising nursery plants to sell locally.  It is primarily a hobby and my meager sales barely cover the cost.  I am primarily interested in raising the Plumeria Frangipani, Desert Rose, and Pentas.  They do very well here in this wild climate in South West Florida.  It is either too cold, too hot, too wet or too dry.  We have been in a drought cycle now for several years and seems to be getting steadily worse.  We are entering the hurricane season and that means, look out.  Five years ago I lost my home to a hurricane, while I was in it.  Luckily I escaped without any injuries, but had to leave that day.  Luckily I was fully insured.  As for recovery, I don't think I will ever fully recover from it.  I had some nice neighbors that came over afterword and helped me, as a matter of fact, insisted that I leave.

As time permits I will add to my biography and to my gardening blog, there is a lot to fill in, but all in due process.  I have a blog, a gardening blog, and blogs on the TriVita products
