My name is Michael Stampley. I am 38 and live in Rowlett, Tx. I am a 5th grade Science teacher for GISD. I was  born and raised here in the Dallas area (Richardson) and graduated forn UNT. I have always been competitive. Poker, running, whatever. I like a challenge. I was really into MTB racing for a few yrs until a friend introduced me to the triathlon world. I, like most, was addicted instantly. I found that the multi sport played to my strengths. I was a mediocre Cat 2 MTB racer, whereas I am more competitive in all 3 disciplines. I have also found that the people are much more easy going and fun in the TRI world.
