BIO: I've always been active, but never did anything competitive until 2006.  I set a goal to run a half marathon for my 40th birthday.  I started training, and found out that I really loved running. I completed the race, coming in 53rd in my age group!  Not the best finish ever, but after that race I was hooked! I wanted to do more races, so I continued training and entering more races. In 2007 I started cycling, and in 2008 I finally started swimming so I could compete in my first tri, Tri the Rock! I had such a great time, I entered four more tri's before the end of the season - I'm totally hooked on tri's now! My goal for the spring 2009 is to get in some open water olympic distance tri's and then do my first 70.3 in September!
