Trio Alt is Frans van Geffen, Pip van Steen and John Devitt, three flautists living in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
The idea of playing the Bach three part inventions (Sinfonias) on three alto flutes was concieved by Frans, and so the trio was born.
Since we started playing together it's been a joy, not only because of Bach's timeless music, but also because of
the resonance the three players share.
To date two performances of the Sinfonias have been videotaped and can be viewed below.
