Merry Christmas!
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:11 NIV).

May you know Christ's peace and joy as we celebrate Christmas and begin the New Year.

I want to remind you of our Christmas and New Year's Eve Service and activity schedule and invite you once again to make time join God's people in worship during this special--and for many, very busy--time of the year.  Pastor Rich

Christmas Eve--Saturday, December 24:  We will gather for our traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:00 p.m.  The message will reflect briefly on the angels and the shepherds.  Could the angels have been the original "flash mob"?  Our Christmas Eve offering is for RCA churches in the eastern states who were damaged by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

Christmas Day--Sunday, December 25:  Christmas morning we will gather at our regular time, 9:30 a.m., for a "Service of Lessons and Carols."  We will remember the message and celebrate the meaning of Christmas through the words of Scripture, narration and the singing of hymns and carols.

Children's Christmas Party--Thursday Evening, December 29:  We invite all of Trinity’s children and their parents to join us for a special celebration of Jesus’ birthday on Thursday, December 29, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  We will remember the story of Christ’s birth, enjoy a craft activity and snacks and watch the new Veggie Tales Christmas video, “The Little Drummer Boy.” We may even sing a few “Silly Songs” with Larry!  We want to invite all middle school and high school youth to attend and serve as helpers.  If you haven't signed up yet, please sign-up on the bulletin board in the church entryway or call the church office by noon on December 28 to reserve you spot(s).

New Year's Day at Trinity:  New Year’s Day this year is on a Sunday.  We plan to begin the New Year at Trinity with a breakfast at 9:30 a.m. (coordinated by the Care Committee), followed by an abbreviated worship celebration from 10:15-11:00 a.m.  So that plans can be made for the breakfast we ask that you sign-up on the “Breakfast” sheet on the sign-up bulletin board or on one of the sheets on the round tables in the entryway or call the church office by noon on December 29.  We hope that you will begin the New Year in church as we join together to worship God and to fellowship with one another.
