Dr. Lei Yang is a Principal Technology Specialist at Weibo R&D USA. He received his Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006. He also worked for 3.5 years (Jun. 2008 - Nov. 2011) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nonlinear Dynamics and Optics Group (NDOG) at Heriot-Watt University (HWU), UK.
His has been working on a variety of topics in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Image Processing. Prior to joining Weibo, Dr. Yang had served in various roles at OmniVision Technologies, Inc., Philips Research Asia and Futurewei Technologies, Inc. He is a member of IEEE, BMVA.
