League Rules

Eligible Participants: Players ages will be based on USAV age requirements of 15:U-18:U. All Players, Coaches and Officials must be USAV registered.  All adults running the tournaments must have completed USAV background checks. 2009-2010 USAV Junior Age Definitions: The age that your son will be on September 1st, 2010 is his USAV age this season.  http://assets.teamusa.org/assets/documents/attached_file/filename/15999/2010_Age_Classification.pdf

Team Formation: Teams must be formed and rosters of at least 6 players must be submitted before the 1st match of league play.  All Players and Coaches must be USAV members in order to participate. All matches require that roster players be used where possible.  If due to injury, illness or conflicts a team cannot get the required 6 players, a single substitute can be added to the roster. No more than 1 substitutes can be added to a roster for each match. If a team cannot  All Subs must be approved in advance by both parties Head Coaches.  No roster additions can be made for teams with six or more players.

Match Format: Each team will play 3 out of 5 games to 25 with the fifth and deciding game to 15.  Matches will be played in a two hour format. 

Championship Format: The win-loss records will be recorded to create a Semi-final match format (#1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3) Championship Tournament Format below .

Game Ball:  Each visiting team should bring 4-6 warm-up balls to the match. The Host Club will provide (or choose) the best game ball possible for matches. Molten Pro Touch (Red, White, Blue) game balls should be used if possible.

Uniforms:  USAV uniform numbering and color format.

Officiating Team: The Host Club will be responsible for providing a USAV registered Lead Referee (R-1) and Scorekeeper for all matches and any additional help (R-2, Line Judges) that they can provide.   Visiting team can help by providing any additional Officiating help if requested by the Host Club.
