Triangle CAN

Durham CAN and Justice United
Triangle C.A.N  is a broad based network of over 60 local institutions - congregations, synagogues, non-profits and civic associations - that serve as a foundation for public relationships, leadership development and action around issues that affect low and moderate income communities.  Triangle C.A.N is a non partisan affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the nation's oldest and largest leadership development and organizing network.

The IAF bases its work on the idea that a healthy democracy requires the active participation of ordinary people.

There are two interconnected projects supported by Triangle CAN:
DURHAM CAN
JUSTICE UNITED

Vision

Triangle CAN believes that all faith communities are called to seek justice and peace for all people. We answer this call by building relational power to transform our communities. We are a unique community organization in the region that is successfully building bridges across boundaries of faith, race, geography, generation and economic class. We believe in building unity through diversity.
