Yellow Dot Program

The Yellow Dot program is a TRIAD project to help save lives.

The program consists of a recent photo, a medical information card, and a yellow dot sticker to be affixed to your car window. The card sohuld be filled out in pencil to allow for updating, slipped into the supplied envelope along with the photo, and then placed in your car's glove compartment. The yellow dot decal will then be placed on the inside rear windshield on the driver's side.

In the event of an emergency, first responders can identify the vehicle as that of a Yellow Dot participant and will know to look in the glove compartment for the packet of information that can provide a quick and accurate medical history with the patient's name, medical history, prescription information, and emergency medical contact numbers, and the photo to guarantee correct identification.

To take advantage of the Yellow Dot Program:

  • Get a Yellow Dot kit and decal from Elaine Anderson.
  • Fill out the card using a pencil!
  • Place the card in the envelope.
  • Place the packet in your glove compartment.
  • Place Yellow Dot decal on the driver's side of your rear windshield.
  • Remember to update your information regularly!

Private citizens and organizations alike, please feel free to download the Word document attached below of the Yellow Dot Program pamphlet.  The Yellow Dot decal that accompanies the pamphlet will still need to be produced locally, though, which is a monetary expense.  If you need any advice about the decal or about anything about the Yellow Dot Program, do not hesitate to contact Elaine Anderson, Orange County TRIAD Coordinator, using any of her contact information on the homepage.

The pamphlet will have to be customized to your own organization.  If there is no one in your organization with the skills to do so, please do not hesitate the contact the Webmaster at this page for him to do so for you.
