The engine that drives TRIAD is the SALT Council. The SALT Council should typically include representatives of the Town of Orange Police Department, the Town of Gordonsville Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff's Office, local AARP chapters and other senior organizations, RSVP, service providers, hospitals, the business community, clergy, and other agencies involved, or interested, in helping the elderly. The Orange County SALT Council assesses and addresses the needs of the elderly in the community by determining the needs and concerns and collaboratively developing ways in which to meet those needs. The SALT Council is the application of that concept, the action and governing arm of the Orange County TRIAD.
