What is the RAD Program, you ask? RAD, which stands for Resisting Aggression with Defense, is a unique safety program that caters to seniors like you who want to take charge of their lives. The world we live in today is filled with dangers that target our senior citizens. RAD has addressed those dangers and created a program designed to give seniors back their lives, with confidence and skills to face everyday challenges
It's not a physical education class or self-defense, and it's not boring lectures, but some will tell you that after completing this program they feel better physically and mentally. How, you ask? RAD teaches seniors about real-life situations such as fraud, scams, home invasion, physical attack, medication theft, out-and-about safety and many other issues that seniors encounter. RAD also addresses the fear that many seniors live with on a daily basis. What about physical defense? RAD teaches that, too, but it's based on seniors' needs such as balance and lack of mobility, and classes are held during the daylight hours in order to assist seniors who do not travel at night!
