Should the normal phone system go down, because of local or natural disaster, a 911 cell phone can be used to call the 911 Dispatch Center directly. TRIAD gives these cell phones out to our seniors who live alone, are homebound, or otherwise have no other way during such a disaster to summon help. TRIAD gives a 911 cell phone at the same time that it gives out a Guardian Alert 911 Pendant, because, when your phone system goes down, the pendant will no longer function. Hence, the cell phone becomes your only link to the 911 Dispatch Center.
