MUSHclient is my client of choice for playing Achaea. It's fast, powerful, flexible, stable, free, and constantly updated. I write plugins for MUSHclient, for use in Achaea. I also collect third-party plugins from other people who ask me to host them here. I have a few tutorials that I've written as well, and links for useful websites for scripting in MUSHclient.

If you do not know what Achaea is, visit www.achaea.com to play one of the best games I have ever found. You can use their web-based Flash client or any of a large number of MUD clients around. As I said above, MUSHclient is my client of choice, and you can find it at mushclient.com.

There is a MUSHclient clan in Achaea, courtesy of Baatti. Just contact anyone on CLANHELP MUSH to join. We also maintain a blog where topics discussed in the clan are regularly posted, at mushclient.blogspot.com.

I don't write zMUD scripts any more. All of my old scripts can still be found on the zMUD page.

If you want to contact me, you can email me at trevizemoonflair@yahoo.com.

Enjoy,

Change in Focus

posted Jul 4, 2009 1:14 AM by Trevize Moonflair

I've made a major decision that I know will make some people unhappy. I will no longer be writing new zMUD scripts or supporting my old ones. I will keep my zMUD page up, here, with all scripts I was hosting at the time of this decision.

Why? Well, I started back to work on some zMUD scripts and it the client frustrated me in many ways. It was slow, I kept running into bugs, and I had to do a lot of things in a very roundabout way. I finally decided to surrender, and go back to working on some MUSHclient things. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that spending time working on scripts for zMUD was not worth the trouble. MUSHclient is faster, recieves updates, has virtually no bugs, it's more powerful and more flexible, and to top it all off it's completely free.

I realize CMUD has a number of those problems fixed, and I may eventually start writing and supporting scripts for it. But for now, I'm going to work exclusively with MUSHclient.

Backspace plugin and Rift bugfix

posted Jul 1, 2009 6:44 PM by Trevize Moonflair

New plugin, created by Nick Gammon, to fix the display of backspaces. If you've seen weird squares on WHO and CWHO when lines are too long, you know what I mean.

Also, a minor bugfix for the Rift plugin. It wasn't recognizing the line when you INR and max that item out in the rift. It is now.

Critcounter plugin is now complete! Let me know if there are any problems with it, and I'll fix them asap.

More Updates

posted Jun 29, 2009 4:38 PM by Trevize Moonflair   [ updated Jun 29, 2009 4:48 PM ]

I've also updated the offering, rift, and pacts plugins for MUSHclient. I've also added the version number to the page title of all updated plugins, so you can easily tell what plugins of yours are outdated. To see all of yours, just go to file|plugins in MUSHclient and note the 'version' field. It will be in a 1.10 format, which equates to the 1.1.0 format on this website.

Prompt in MUSHclient

posted Jun 28, 2009 11:48 PM by Trevize Moonflair   [ updated Jun 29, 2009 12:19 AM ]

Thanks to Soludra pointing it out, my newline plugin for MUSHclient now accepts any numeric prompt. Also, the antitheft, tattoos, elixsum, and concoctionsales plugins now accept the vote option in the prompt for prompt redrawing.

More MUSHclient Updates

I've updated a few more MUSHclient plugins to be easier to read. Concoctionsales, Tattoos, Elixsum, and Newline. More will follow.

MUSHclient Antitheft Updated

posted Jun 28, 2009 6:42 PM by Trevize Moonflair

I've updated my MUSHclient antitheft plugin to be easier to read (and thus modify), and to include the prompt.

I tried converting commands to just one alias, and use a script function to parse them, but a few people brought to my attention that it was harder to understand that way. I've changed it back, adding a few improvements while doing so.

MUSHclient Offering

For anyone who was having trouble with this plugin, I had left out an essential table on the last update. Fixed!

Shards

Both shard counters were giving trouble to people who had the 'MORE' line show up. Updated!

Prompt

posted Jun 13, 2009 5:31 AM by Trevize Moonflair

I'm starting to add the prompt to my MUSHclient plugin output, to make it fit in with Achaean commands better. If you have any problems with it, please contact me as soon as possible. So far, I've added it to the todo, elixsum, and tattoos plugins.
