I play for the Kent-Valley Hurricanes through the USA Hockey program at the Kent -Valley Ice Arena, Washington. Look for me in the NHL draft around the year 2013.

This has been an exciting year. We played at the Key Arena on January 27, 2007 and then got to skate with Sno-King during the Thunderbirds game. One of the Sno-King dads is Turner Stevenson, one of my dad's favorite players. He was with the Flyers last season, played with the New Jersey Devils when they won their last Stanley Cup in 2002-03, and was the number 1 (12th overall) draft pick for the Montreal Canadiens in 1990. We played Sno-King in Renton on February 25, 2007 and I had 4 goals right in front of Turner. We played Sno-King again on March 3, 2007 and I had 3 goals -Turner wasn't at this game. Only 7 players showed up from Sno-King. I don't think they like our facility. It's a little run-down but we have the best ice in the area.

I've been playing hockey since I was about 2 years-old. Guess I always felt comfortable in a helmet. I've gotten better at putting one on! Check out my sweet Darth Maul gloves!

I got some coaching from Steve Shahan, a former Thunderbird. I've gotten more fishing lessons from him though than hockey. I think he should stick to hockey -we haven't caught any fish yet.

Some more stuff about me is I like to play video games. My favorite one is The Godfather for the Xbox. Other sports I like to play are rugby and basketball.

This page was started so I can share my accomplishments in hockey with my friends and my family -especially the ones in Kansas who I don't get to see very often. In order for me to keep it though, I have to do hockey homework. This is something my dad came up with a couple weeks ago. He gives me the name of a player and I have to describe in my own words what he brought to hockey. He's going to mostly pick players who I didn't get to see play. So click on the homework link at the bottom to see what I have to say about these guys.

We use Firefox with spellcheck built-in (it says spellcheck is spelled wrong) so I shouldn't have trouble with most of the words, just some of the names. Try pronouncing Tikkanen -I have to spell it!
