A quick note from Pastor John Murray:  You are about to read the testimony of Debra Gliddon, a woman who gave her life to the Lord Jesus at my kitchen table.  She came into the presence of Jesus Christ and received a miracle being completely healed of the HIV virus.  May her testimony bless and edify your heart.

MY TESTIMONY: BY DEBRA GLIDDON

If reading about my experience with the Lord Jesus can be of help in drawing you closer to Him, may God's blessing rest in my testimony.  If lifting up Jesus as the one and only, the Alpha and Omega, King of Kings brings glory to His name, then my mission in telling my testimony has been achieved.  
A former friend recently died from complications of Hepatitis C, a disease common to IV Drug users.  I have known for quite some time that I also carry this virus.  Her death, quite frankly scared me enough to see a doctor to ascertain the level of damage done to my body, in particular my liver.  While undergoing blood work and lab tests, I was asked by my doctor if I would mind being tested for the HIV virus, which ultimately causes AIDS.  Since I had been tested for that within the prior year and having been tested on a yearly basis before that, I granted my permission knowing that in that area, at lease I was safe.  
Imagine my surprise when the blood work came back positive for the virus.  In fact the actually words used in the lab report were "Consistently reactive".  The doctor ordered another test, which verified the result and I became a statistic, just another addict carrying this deadly and life changing illness within my blood.  I was sent to see an infectious disease doctor.  She ordered yet another test to see exactly what we were dealing with and how prevalent the virus was within me.  I went through the process much like a zombie.  I was in shock and fearful for my life.  
I had only recently been saved and born-again.  A series of incidents brought me to Tree of Life Christian Fellowship.  None of these incidents were of a coincidence, I am convinced.  God had me right where He wanted me.  I have been told that coincidence is just God's way of remaining anonymous.  I have also been told that when God wants to do something good, He starts out with an improbability.  When He wants to do something great, He starts out with an impossibility.  I was quite the impossible case by this time, scared, feeling alone and still in a state of disbelief.  
About one week after that latest blood work I received a call from the specialist that I had seen.  She told me to sit down and listen to her report.  She then proceeded to tell me that there was no sign of the HIV virus within me.  WHAT???  "Are you sure???"  "Yes my dear, quite sure", she replied.  The impossible case that I had been was transformed into a healthy woman.  How?  There is only one answer that makes any sense.  That is God continues to do His marvelous work.  I know not what I have been saved for but I suspect it is something marvelous as well. God never fails to meet us at the level of our need.  
Back in my doctor's office he expressed surprise at this development.  He said that he thinks that I got an answer to a "shout in the night".  I couldn't agree more!  God bless you today and always.  The Word of God tells us to be called, chosen, and faithful.  Be obedient to God in all things.  Start your journey today and you won't be disappointed in Jesus.
