Gothenburg, Sweden
Gothenburg is noted for being the center of the melodic death metal movement, a typically Swedish musical style, being home to such bands as At The Gates, Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, The Haunted, and In Flames. It is also the hip-hop capital of Sweden. Click here for a review of the Goth scene around Gothenburg! Supposedly, this is a great sight about the club scene in Gothenburg but it is only in SWEDISH!
Amusement Park-Liseberg is the largest amusement park in all of Scandanavia.
Where to stay in Gothenberg- You have several options "Nice Bed & Breakfast" only 5 minutes walk from the south entrance to Liseberg (where the lines are shorter when opening). There is a low budget Formula hotel in Gothenburg. About 40 bucks a night US. The room contains a sink and mirror, but the bathrooms are shared. City Hotel-low budget and decent website. 40 bucks for shared toilet, about a hundred for your own.

Good Night Danielsson, Vastmannagatan 5, (46-8) 411-1065, doubles with private bath from $75.
The Stureplan area has lots of clubs that stay open to 5:00 a.m.
Live Music-Kägelbanan Club has acts like Frank Black. You can check the official tourist site for a pretty good search engine on touring acts.
Food- Ostermalms Saluhall is an old market redone with restaurants and bars like Lisa Elmqvist, (46-8) 553-40-410, which specializes in fish. Lunch only, shared table seating.
Nordiska Kompaniet department store at Hamngatan 10-20, also offers lunch. An open-faced sandwich of prawns costs $6.85.
Museums- Telecommunication Museum-Museivägen 7, Norra DjurgÂrden, In the National Museum of Science and Technology.
