Welcome

For years I searched for that elusive multi band antenna that;
  • could be built with simple hand tools
  • required minimal components
  • didn't require an antenna tuner
  • could be placed on a small lot
  • didn't require climbing
  • made from readily available materials
  • construction costs less then $100
This site  details a 7 band semi-vertical trap antenna that meets all of the above criteria while providing performance that far exceeds the cost of construction. Since this site launched a few years ago I have received several emails from Hams who have built this antenna and are using it on 9-bands (2m and 6m as additional bands). The highest SWR I have recorded on 2m is 1.5 and on 6m 1.9   I have been able to key-up 6 local 2m repeaters using 1 watt.
 
In the September/October 2009 issue of The Canadian Amateur an article I wrote entitled "Semi-Vertical Trap Antenna" was published. Since this article appeared I have had several people interested in viewing the piece on the internet. I have created this website to share this article in the hopes it may help other ham radio operators. I hope you enjoy the site.
