Visit public projects and private residences that aren’t all wet in their approach to greywater and rainwater. Learn about greywater systems, rainwater harvesting, and the history of water in San Francisco. Saturday, July 24 - meet 9:45 AM at Garden for the Environment (7th Ave. and Lawton). 2.5 hour ride. Solar Systems Why let the free energy in sunlight go to waste? See electric and hot water systems at residential and commercial sites. Hear how one resident organized her neighborhood block to go solar together and purchase individual electric systems at a group discount. The extension will continue to Heron's Head Park for a visit to the EcoCenter - San Francisco's first completely off-grid building.
