Changing mindsets about language and literacies in a global
information economy are transforming what we do with literacy in
everyday life. These Web 2 practices such as blogs, Facebook,
machinima, Second Life (and too many others to mention) offer
tremendous potential for connecting people and places.
This site is dedicated to exploring the opportunities of new literacy practices for social and political transformation. It is simply no longer acceptable for poverty, war, racist ideologies and practices, and massive miseducation to exist. Something must be done. As many have said, it's not enough to talk about resistance, you actually have to resist. As I build and improve this site, I invite ideas as to how to make it interactive and co-constructive.
