Taylor Road Drama Department

I have some great ideas for the Theatre this year. These plans include a fall and spring show, attending the Trumbauer and AISA competions, and several other performances.

April 27th - May 15th
Students will pick a play to read and design concepts. The design concepts that the students will be working on will be costumes and set designs.
Here is a link to the assignments and deadlines.

April 20-25th
Costume Design
Students will make a costume for themselves if their lives were a play. A future version of themselves. We will also read a small scene and students will break up into groups and present their ideas to the class for a major grade.

 April 13-17th
Class will split into groups of three to five and write, direct, and perform their own scene. They will graded on the presentation of the scenes on Friday and I will get feedback from the entire group about participation.
This is an exercise to build team work and cooperation with students who under any other circumstances would not have any interaction.
