WHY CHOOSE ME?

Native speaker

I am a native speaker of English with personal experience and knowledge of the language as it is spoken around the world. 

I can teach general English to students at all levels. 

I have a background working in large international corporations, so I can teach  English for business situations.

I have studied at various academic institutions and have worked as a proofreader checking academic articles and theses, so I can teach English for academic purposes.

I have lived in Prague for thirteen years, most of which I have spent teaching English in schools, companies and to individuals.  

I have helped students prepare for English exams at all levels.

Communication methodology

Students learn more quickly and remember English words if they speak and hear only English in the lessons from the beginning. We will therefore only speak English! 

We will use tried and tested methodologies along with popular English textbooks and workbooks so the most important topics will be covered.

You will have an opportunity to practice a variety of language skills in every lesson, including speaking, listening, writing and reading. 

We will also study grammar and learn new vocabulary, which you will be able to use immediately in the lesson. 

Education

I am a CELTA qualified teacher of English as a foreign language. I also have a Diploma in Marketing from Bromley College of Further and Higher Education in the UK and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kingston, London.  

Professional background

Before I became an English teacher, I worked in many different business sectors, both in the UK and abroad. I have worked in quite a few different job roles. 

I started as a receptionist and finished as a Marketing Manager and worked in construction, real estate, advertising, insurance, healthcare and even the diplomatic corps. 

When I'm not teaching

I have been studying Czech for thirteen years and Spanish for two years.

I enjoy spending time working in my garden, looking after my cats, watching Spanish movies, cooking, walking in nature and seeing my friends.

Personal approach

I take a very personal and individual approach to teaching my students. I develop a professional, long-term relationship which helps to build your confidence and gives the lessons an atmosphere that supports learning. 

In the first lesson, I try to find out about you, your work and home life and why you are learning English. I usually test your level with conversation, a few exercises, some test questions and grammar games. We then prepare a plan for your focused learning to help you achieve your English language objectives.

We then agree a plan for how to tailor the lessons to meet your goals, whether you want to improve grammar, build vocabulary or practise conversation.

Pleasant teaching environment

I teach in a quiet and pleasant office where there are no distractions.We have access to teaching materials and the internet in a relaxed and friendly environment.

My name is Tracey Ennor. I am a private English teacher and I live in Prague. 

I am a native speaker of English from the United Kingdom. I have lived in Zimbabwe, South Africa, England and the Czech Republic and have travelled to many places where English is spoken and not spoken. 

What do I do?

I offer private lessons for people who want to improve their English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation through games, activities and practice.

I teach adults and young learners from 10 years and upwards. I mainly teach from pre-intermediate level to proficiency, but I can also teach beginners who prefer to learn with a native speaker.
