e-mail: asterios.toutios[at]telecom-paristech.fr Asterios received the Diploma/MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1999 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; the MSc in Information Systems in 2002 from the University of Macedonia (which, despite its name, is a Greek university located in Thessaloniki); and the PhD in Applied Informatics in 2007 from the same university. From September 2007 to June 2009 and from November 2009 to April 2011 he worked at LORIA, Nancy, France, under two postdoctoral contracts, the first one with INRIA and the second one with Université Nancy 2. Since May 2011, he is at TELECOM ParisTech (ENST) under a contract with CNRS. His doctoral and postdoctoral work has mainly revolved around the exploitation of dynamic articulatory (EMA, EPG, ultrasound) and facial (stereovision) speech data, in contexts like machine learning based inversion, control of articulatory models, and talking head synthesis. He is currently in the process of unifying and extending several aspects of his previous work in the context of articulatory speech synthesis. He has translated into Greek a book on mathematical finance and has some activity as a poet and musician. His list of publications is as follows: Journal Papers Asterios Toutios, Slim Ouni, Yves Laprie: Estimating the Control parameters of an Articulatory Model from Electromagnetic Articulograph Data, Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Volume 129, Issue 5, Pages 3245-3257, May 2011.
