Had to keep the chicks in the house because it was to cold.

Picked up 50 Rhode Island red chicks from Franklin.

Nate's birthday.

Made some more soap.
Wormed Cindy, Abby, and Moon.

Happy is doing great.he's eating milk again.

Sun, February 21
Giving happy electrolytes. he seems to be doing OK.

Happy was not eating, so Vanessa called Pam. Pam said it might be floppy kid syndrome. Vanessa gave him meds and he's fine.

Made bread. started weaning Trudy and Casey's kids.

Wed, February 17
Cut down apple and pear trees. Got some more hay.
Milked Cindy down again. will give her milk to Happy.

Tue, February 16
Beth and Solomon 
left for home. Sent them with some eggs and soap.

One half gallon of milk. sixteen eggs. Plus one I broke.

Got a half gallon of milk. Also milked Cindy down and got some colostrum out of her.

Sun, February 14
Beth and Solomon came for a visit.
Named Cindy's does Venus and Valentine.


Sat, February 13
Cindy had twin girls this morning. We missed it. Had the alarm set for 2:00am. They were born around 1:45 I think. One can't stand very well yet. Vanessa put a sweater on that one to keep her warm. The other one is great. They are both eating.




Sat, February 6

Picked up our new baby buck from Bonnie Blue Farm. We call him Happy Trail. Saw a pair of bald eagles in our neighbor's yard.
Put Ellie, Charm, and Edgar in a pen together to try and get them to breed.

Tattooed Casey's kids. They are called a1 and a2.

An owl flew under our truck on the way home from Nashville.
6 cups of milk.

Moon is dried off.

Started milking Trudy. She gave 4 cups.
6 cups of milk / 7 eggs.

We started latching Trudy's kids at night so we can milk her in the morning. Nobody is happy about it. Hope it works.
