Course Content
The core components of the course include:
· course design basics: learning objectives, session plans, selection of approach
· how to help our learners learn
· participatory training techniques
· how to demystify technical concepts and information
· using resource materials to support learning
· group facilitation skills
· practical presentations
Course content will be adapted to reflect the interests and learning priorities of those attending the course.
Training Approach
The training approach is highly practical, participatory and fun! We focus on real issues and help participants to use the techniques covered, rather than just discuss them.
The course is limited to a small group so that we can be sure to meet the needs of individual participants. We use a wide variety of learning methods to stimulate interest and meet the differing learning styles of participants – including group problem-solving activities and discussions, quizzes, games, illustrated presentations and demonstration of techniques.
During the course, participants will work in small groups to design and develop, with full support and guidance, a short training session to be delivered on the final day.
A comprehensive course resources manual packed full of advice and ideas will also be provided.
