Thinking of Becoming a Rotarian?
We'll explode the myths! There's no special handshake or midnight rituals (that we are aware of), and membership fees are very, very reasonable. Think of a group of friends from all walks of life getting together using their talents to give back to the community. Are new members welcome?
Yes, our club is still growing, and we welcome everyone to come out and meet with us. What happens at your meetings?
At most meetings, the majority of meeting time is alotted to a guest speaker. Our guests range from all walks of life and speak to us on a variety of subjects. Often speakers are published authors or subject matter experts on an area of interest. Some speak about international development efforts, others speak about topics closer to home. Check out our Calendar to see if there's a speaker you might want to see.
What does your club do for the community?
In the past two years, we've raised money for Toronto-area orgnanizations including PACT, BridgePoint Health and St. James Cathedral Drop-In Health and Foot Care Clinic. We've promoted literacy through the reading club that we run each Thursday. We've held golf tournaments, scotch tastings, wine tastings and dinner parties. We've participated in leadership programs and taken a lead role in microfinancing initiatives. In short, we're a busy bunch and could use a few more hands. |
How much does it cost to join?
Annual fees $265.00 with weekly meeting (continental breakfast) $15.00 (billed quarterly based on attendance).
