More on Torcs NG

Well, its taken longer to get to a first release than we'd expected - but that's no surprise I guess.

I've decided that pretty much every new carset or track I make will be part of NG, and given that NG will (eventually) have a rapid release cycle there probably won't be much point in making new stuff available here for download.  The 1936 Grand Prix carset will be part of the first NG version, as will an updated (yes again!) Supercars set.

NG is a fork of TORCS, with the aim of implementing new features such as an SDL port and Network play as well as all-new carsets and AI opponents.

NG will include an updated version of the Supercars, along with the 1936 Grand Prix set plus content from other authors.  The team working on the game is very talented and we're really making good progress.  Our website is sketchy at the moment, but that will change - check it out at http://torcs-ng.sf.net.

I've been working on this new carset for several months now.  While there's still work to be done before its complete, I thought I'd share my progress. Comments welcome :)

I finally decided to move the site here & away from webng - it was a slow host & I didn't like the banner ads...
