The sailboat                                                                                 

          The sailboat Twyla has been sailing 3 years between Colombia and Panama through San Blas islands on different routes; between Cartagena and Portobelo of Panama, between Carti of San Blas and Sapzurro in  the Colombian border… and now always between Carti of San Blas and,  sometimes to Cartagena sometimes to Sapzurro of Colombia.

         It can say that we were open the route  coasting  all San Blas until Carti of San Blas and Sapzurro in Colombia, that it is the first town after the border.

        We prefer sailing coastline through all San Blas for to arrive to the idyllic Sapzurro and Capurgana, but normally the people don´t  know this route or prefer to go to Cartagena de Indias that sure is the most popular city in the Caribbean, therefore sometimes if we want to take guests for to sailing….go to Cartagena!.

     The Plan                                                                                                                    

            For these special trips with travelers or “backpacker” (especially cheap) we do the traditional route Panama - Colombia through San Blas islands as follows:

     We spend 5 days, 4 nights on board, of which, at least 2 days and 2 nights will be on San Blas islands.

     For these trips we accept at most 8 guests; 4 persons sleep in the 2 cabins (for 2 persons each) and 4 persons sleep as dormitory style on beds in the living room and the cockpit; (we don’t have fixed sites;if other people want to use the cabins, we can take turns for days ).

Between Cartagena de Indias to Cartí on San Blas island-Panamá-.

      To Panama, The last day, usually is for to make the official entry on Panamá and look for the transport to Panama city on Carti Mainland.

     To Cartagena is the first day that we use for to make the exit estamp of Panamá.

      Between Carti mainland in San Blas and Panama city there are regular transport by road ; it take two hours half  between Carti to your hostel on Panama city, cost 25$usa per person (not included).

•  Varied food for 5 days - as vegetables, fruits, some meats, fish, etc.-  enough for all the trip,  in  self-service manner, free every time.
•  Varied drinks as mineral water, coffe, tee, chocolate, milk and same juices for breakfast
•  Customs tax in Panama and Colombia.

      Is not included:

•  Transportation for to come-away on board the first and last day.
•   Catering and cleaning serves -you can serve yourseft every time or we can organize between every us-.
•  Alcoholics drinks, sodas, etc  -if you want,  can come on board with your drinks-                                                                 We have bar service onboard.
•  Some fees for visiting some islands to San Blas (2 $ aprox.).
•  Seafoods as lobsters, crabs etc. - we may to bay between everybody, if you want-.
•  Insurance for accidents and damages. 
•  Snorkeling kits. –We don’t have-.

                  

              

 

          The name of the Captain is Javier Martin, resident in Valencia , Spain. 

 

 

                            

          The qualification is " Captain of Yacht" accreditation by Spain (for all oceans and unlimited dimensions), obtained in November 2005. 

            I   preceded this with the "Patron of Yacht ( height navigation) in 2004, and " Patron of boats" (coast navigation) in 1998.

             The experience  is of 10 years as sailor  and skipper.

              In addition,  have a license as "Lifeguard", "Sailor" and another in "Administration".
