Organization System

Useful programs:
I can recommend both these programs as tools to keep track of notes, information, todo lists.
 - Tomboy - personal note system for Windows or Linux. Searchable, linkable database of notes.
 - TiddlyWiki - an HTML file that acts like a personal wiki.

Keep projects "tied off"
Being involved in a lot of activities and projects can really wear on your energy level - but that's not because you're involved in things; it's because you're involved
Ensure that at any resting state, you are "ahead of the game" in any given project or commitment, or that the ball is in someone else's court. Keep projects "tied off" when your back is turned to them. Participation is less distracting and less intellectually draining this way. When I go around for days with multiple projects "untied", it's mentally tiring and unsustainable.

Don't be too ambitious with commitment lists
For commitment lists to have meaning, you need to be willing to cut out some commitments to keep the list reasonable. If you try to fill them all, all the time, you will burn out.
