Born in Hampshire, brought up in Harrow, Middlesex, I am a graduate in Business Studies and worked in Personnel Management before becoming a Management lecturer and assessor.  I moved to Yatton in 1975  and made my home here.  I am a governor of Yatton Junior School and was elected as an Independent councillor on North Somerset Council in May 2007.

During the past four years on the council I have been involved in many different committees as well as working with local people to help them with problems and issues that concern them.  You can find out more about my council work on my council page.

I am now campaigning for re-election because I feel I can represent the needs and wishes of local people better than party politicans can. I am independent of any party politics and can follow my own conscience.  I care about the communities of Yatton, Claverham, Cleeve, Kenn and Kingston Seymour and want to help where I can.  In the past four years I have learned a lot about working with other people to achieve good results for the community, not playing at politics. I will continue to work with whoever I can to get the best I can for our locality, even though I know things are going to be tougher and money scarcer.

My election video is a stop animation video made in the style of Bob Dylan's famous Subterranean Homesick Blues video. Shot in black and white in various stunning locations, you are sure to be impressed with the Subterranean Yatton blues!
