The Dorset coast offers the opportunity to develop skills in many aspects of saltwater fly-fishing. Fly fishing in the sea around the varied Dorset coast is a great challenge, the ocean is vast but fish are there to be caught. These courses can help to crack the code to fishing such a daunting mass of water. Drawing on skills learned working in the Bahamas, Africa, Australia, and America fishing for a number of salt water species and years of sea fishing around the coast, we hope to pass on the right knowledge base for successful fly fishing to our clients.
- We can offer flats fishing for bass and mullet in shallow wade-able water in Portland harbor and along the coast; Fun in itself and ideal as a preparation for bone fishing, redfish and warm shallow water fly fishing in general. Methods and fly patterns £175 per day (6 hrs)

- Inshore and off shore boat fishing in tidal rips and rock mark along the inaccessible coast of Dorset. Understanding the relationships between tidal movement and fish behavior. Problem solving for presenting flies to fish in a range of depths and tidal streams. £ 285 per day for the boat for 1 or 2 persons £75 extra for a third person. - . Mullet on the fly, one of the most intriguing not to mention frustrating of uk target fish. Mullet feed on small organisms and can be caught with nymphy shrimpy patterns, they are shy, temperamental and very difficult to come to terms with. When they are feeding on copy-able food forms they are less maddening but if you go for this option look forward to a difficult day! ! Fishing in the inner harbor or on beaches piled with rotting seaweed are the best options . £185 including use of tackle and equipment.
