Specialist courses

 

We cover a range of specialist situations from our Dorset base where
we have a range of chalk stream beats, good Stillwater and coarse fishing
and an extensive range of saltwater fishing available.

 CHALK STREAM Fishing

Chalk stream fishing dry fly on small and medium sized rivers.

 

 1. Entomology of a chalk river and its relationship to trout feeding and behaviour.  

 2. Casting and watercraft, target evaluation and fish location.

 3.  Aproach and tackle selection.

 

 

1 day course £200.  (£50 surcharge from mid May to mid June to cover extra charges for beats during the mayfly season) or at your own water for £150 + travel. 

Accommodation can be arranged if you wish to stay over a number of days and cover a variety of beats and stream types. 

 

 

Nymph fishing and sight fishing.

 

1. Entomology and nymph selection.

 

1.  Presentation, tackle choice and specialist casting techniques.

.

1. Fish spotting and fish location, approach and watercraft.

 

Offered over I or more days on the clear waters of the Dorset chalk streams, accommodation available for multi day courses.

 £200  per day  (£50 surcharge from mid May to mid June to cover extra charges for beats during the mayfly season)

 

 

Fly Fishing for Carp and Pike

1. Days on a private lake in West Dorset (or at a water of your choice)

 

1. Inclusive of fishing, use of tackle and equipment.

 

1. Advice on tackle and method.

 

1. £195 or £150 + travel at a destination of your choice.

 

 

 

Destination fishing preparation

 

Bone fishing in the Caribbean; offshore fly fishing for Game species or Salmon fishing in Norway, Russia or Northern America.

We can teach casting and line management, provide practice timetables for you to prepare for you trip and hit the ground running.

 

£30 per hr or  £175 per day £90 half day.
