There Are No More Original Google Groups (GG1) Sites
There have been no GG1 sites since July 28, 2005. Every GG1 site has
been switched to GG2 site, even if the GG2 site has a half-finished
translation or there is no translation at all done to the GG2 version.

Background: Since about December 2004 you have only been able to post
new messages with the original Google Groups, but not reply to
articles. Since about May 2005 you haven't been able to post even new
articles with the old Google Groups.
History: Google acquired DejaNews February 2001 and turned it into
Google Groups (GG1). Google Groups Beta (GG2) was puslished on May
2004:
