How it works as of 10/06/2009...
Pictures taken when measuring for the front DS...a 2" DS will just BARELY fit. I will probably have to cut a nub off the transmission, even.
Road manners are EXCELLENT with handling that is just fine for a lifted truck. When I have had rear passengers they comment that they don't really feel the road - due to the Bilstein 5100s, I'm sure.
Opinions as of 1/26/2010...
OK...I took it to Rausch for CFTC 2009 and it did GREAT. I did some rocks and it just crawled right over everything...she flexed great...I took every single hard line I could and she just went. I did not beat on her because I didn't want to break anything just yet - it was more of just testing the suspension and treating a good friend to a trip who, at the time, recently lost his father to Cancer.
Road manners were EXCELLENT. Cruising down the highway at between 68mph - 73mph just fine, over bumps, no rear sway, no unloading, nothing...I even did some swerving maneuvers just to see and other than typical body roll due to the swaybar delete there was no indication what-so-ever the buggy leafs were even there.
I have taken her off-road a few times, did a few hill climbs with it and even descents, off-camber stuff, a little bit of everything and what I will say is that my truck is way too narrow...that is my #1 complaint right now. Simply put: she does perfectly fine off-road and handles the street just fine (and I do enjoy the horses under my hood)...I have not noticed any instablity caused by the buggy leaves.
