HEALER INTRODUCTIONS
SHELL:
Hi All . I learned
Spiritual Healing through my
spiritualist church, where I am
now registered with The Scottish
Association of Spiritual
Healers, I'd be more than happy
to send anyone absent healing,
or add you to My churches
Healing Book on a Thursday when
I attend church.
TERI: I was so
blessed. The year I was 15 a
spiritual healer came into my
life and began mentoring me. So
I've been practicing energy
healing in one form or another
for over 40 years........ OMG! .
In 1994 I discovered Reiki. I
attained my first and second
degree quickly but got
sidetracked home schooling kids
until recently. I am currently
working on my third degree and
hope to be a Reiki Master by
July.
NIC: I am a Reiki master
and crystal healer I use a
crystal grid charged with reiki
energy which I would place a
photo of yourself or whoever you
would want the reiki sent to. I
also do distant reiki healing on
times to be set which we would
both be sitting quiet at the
same time. I love doing this
kind of work and I would be more
than happy to send anyone
healing .

Energy and Healing
What Is Energy and How Can It
Heal?
Guest article by Carol Powell
Smith
We’ve heard so much lately about
Healing and different kinds of
Energy work. Just what is Energy
and how can it heal?
Webster’s Dictionary describes
Energy as “a vigorous exertion
of power”; okay, but how does it
work?
How Energy Works
If we go to Quantum Physics, we
find that the concept of Energy
gets to be quite complicated.
Einstein showed us that E=MC2
,
Energy equals Mass times the
speed of Light squared. This
tells us that Mass and Energy
are interchangeable. And that
both space and time are not
absolute. The most important
consequence of this is that Mass
is nothing but a form of Energy.
So, everything is a form of
Energy, objects at rest have
stored Energy. Trees, Rocks,
Dogs, Water and People are all
made up of Energy, in one form
or another.
This means that Energy can exist
as either solid matter or as
non-solid matter, such as a beam
of light. Radio waves,
microwaves and X-rays are all
forms of pure non-solid Energy.
Where Does Energy Come From?
Energy is all around us,
everywhere in all different
wavelengths and frequencies.
From Energies with very short
wavelengths like Cosmic
Radiation and X-rays to very
long wave lengths such as Radio
waves and Infra Red waves.
Everyday our bodies are being
hit with these Energies from
many different sources. We don’t
see it but we know it is there.
When we speak, our voice saying
words has released sound waves
of Energy causing ripples in the
air around us. When we think,
our brains release wavelengths
of Energy.
Can Energy Be Measured?
To the Scientific community,
Energy is something measurable
with specific instruments to
detect for example, heat, light,
or cosmic radiation. The Energy
used in Healing is equally real,
with the measuring device being
that exquisitely sensitive one,
the human body. Our bodies are
receiving stations for Energy
and also transmitters of Energy.
About Our Multi-Body System
We are made up of a multi-body
system, not just the physical
body. We have an Etheric Body,
an Emotional Body, a Mental Body
and an Astral Body. Things don’t
just affect us physically; we
are affected on all levels. When
we think thoughts, these
non-solid forms of Energy go out
into our multi system body and
greatly affect us.
Healing Balances Energy
We all have storage centers in
our bodies that store Energy and
Energy patterns. They are called
Chakras. We can have Energy
Patterns stored from events that
happened yesterday as well as
from many years ago. Some of
these patterns will be happy
memories and some of them will
be unpleasant and painful
memories of something that
happened to us. Sometimes we
stash them away deep into some
recess in our Chakras and in our
Auras (the Energy field around
us), and try to forget about
them, but they don’t really go
away. Dis-ease is a
manifestation of unbalanced
Energy. Healing, then is a way
of balancing Energy.
Negative Forms of Energy
Throughout our lives we pick up
negative forms of Energy, such
as Fear, Doubt, Anger, Judgment,
Criticism, Blame and others. Any
techniques we find that enable
us to let go of these patterns
will help to move us toward
peace and happiness.
There are many ways to balance
your Energy. One approach is A:
to become the most complete and
loving being you can be. The
loving Energy will naturally
dissolve the parts of you that
are keeping you unbalanced.
Another way of balancing your
Energy is through B:
1.Recognition—recognizing the
problem. 2. Surrender and
Release—putting trust in the
highest power, letting go of
trying to control how your life
will manifest. It is releasing
how we think things should be,
and knowing that he Divine
Source will take control.
If you combine both paths of A:
Love and B: the path of Release,
you will have the fastest way
possible to a balanced, healed
state of being.
When a trained energy worker
works with you to help balance
your Energy, for many, the
process of Healing is
accelerated.

THE BAR
We used to have a singles bar.
It was a great place for our
single members to go to post
about those things that single
people with M.E. have in common.
I say "used to have". The
married invaded! Yep,
folks, we had to change the name
to "The BAR" and take down the
singles signs. You see we
were having so much fun, the
married just couldn't stay away.
So, single, married, man, woman
or "other", you're all invited

ARTICLE OF THE MONTH
Stepping In To The ‘Minefield’
Of Finding The Right Treatment
For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I
spoke to one of our regular
readers two weeks ago, who also
happens to be a CFS/ME sufferer.
Greg said to me: ‘I look forward
to the potential treatments
article for CFS/ME, which I hope
will not be too much of a
minefield, as none of them come
without a great deal of
controversy.’
‘Minefield’ is a bit of an
understatement, dear Greg. As
difficult as it is to find
answers regarding the cause of
CFS/ME it’s doubly hard to find
an all encompassing treatment
for it. Whilst doing research
for this particular article I
kept on thinking: I thank my
lucky stars I’m not suffering
from CFS/ME. It must be so
discouraging not to know exactly
what causes it and then to also
face the challenge of trying to
find a treatment that closely
fits your individual symptoms
and diagnosis.
Hat full of tricks
So what are the treatment
options for someone suffering
from CFS/ME? Part of the answer
probably lies with the doctor
that gave the diagnosis or
whether a medical diagnosis has
been made at all. (Most
sufferers still struggle to get
their condition recognized by
their GP and travel from doctor
to doctor in an effort to get a
proper diagnosis.)
If you are lucky enough to get a
sympathetic doctor and a
positive diagnosis, you can
start with treatment. But where
do you begin? CFS/ME is after
all a multi-level illness...
Below are three approaches to
treating CFS/ME. Knowing that
CFS/ME is a multi-level illness
and knowing that CFS/ME comes in
different degrees with clusters
of symptoms the best would be to
get a multi-level treatment
programmed that incorporates
aspects of each of the
following, tailored to your
needs and symptoms.
CFS/ME and Hypnotherapy /
NLP/ Body-Mind approaches to
healing CFS/ME
There is an array of Mind-Body
therapies available that are
tailored to treat CFS/ME. Just
to mention a few such as Reverse
Therapy, Mickel Therapy, The
Perrin Technique, Emotional
Freedom Technique, Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP), Acupuncture
and the Bowen Technique. Whilst
these therapies focus on the
mind and it’s relationship with
the body it seems to do very
little for physiological
symptoms because it almost
assumes that the mind is
manifesting the physical
symptoms of CFS/ME. The
Lightning Process, for instance
is an NLP technique that
involves a process for calming
unhelpful mental patterns and
entering a more resourceful
‘healing state’. This often gets
very good results, however, some
people improve significantly and
then relapse because it does not
necessarily treat the
physiological symptoms. On the
other hand, these treatments are
excellent as motivational tools
and should possibly be factored
in, in the final stages of
recovery.
CFS/ME and Toxic cleansing
Our environment and lifestyle
expose us to toxins, from
antibiotics to mercury poisoning
to electrical pollution. Many
CFS/ ME therapies focus strongly
on detoxifying the body. The
belief behind these therapies is
that a toxic overload lies at
the heart of CFS/ME which has a
knock-on effect on all levels of
health. Once the body is
cleansed of toxins it can cope
with it’s environment in full
capacity again. Toxic cleansing
will involve a bowel/colon
cleanse, the draining of the
lymph system, chelation therapy
and will perhaps rely on
supplements supporting and
strengthening the immune system
such as wormwood – which removes
harmful bacteria, parasites and
fungus from the gastrointestinal
tract. This is possibly a good
place to start when your
overriding symptoms stem from
gastrointestinal problems as
well as a lack of energy.
CFS/ME and the Nutritional
approach
Some therapies focus strongly on
nutrition as the road to
recovery for CFS/ME sufferers
and this often coincides with a
detoxifying programme. In
general, nutritional therapy
focuses on the nutrients that
provide the most immune support
for a person with CFS/ME. Whilst
this is a very relevant and
beneficial therapy, since many
CFS/ME sufferers have severe
digestive problems, it is not
always an accurate science. It
takes a lot of commitment from
sufferers that often don’t have
the energy to eat properly in
the first instance, let alone
focus on a dietary process of
elimination. However, I believe
that nutrition plays a key role
in the recovery of any disease.
CFS/ME sufferers have reduced
energy levels, and many
experience poor memory, poor
concentration, and assorted
gastrointestinal problems that
may indicate Vitamin B-12
deficiency. Folic acid and
pantothenic acid are also
related to fatigue, and
increasing intake of these B
vitamins could be beneficial for
some people with CFS. Omega-3
deficiency is also associated
with fatigue, poor memory and
poor circulation, heart
problems, and depression, so it
is easy to see why these
nutrients are important for CFS
sufferers.

Emma (aka InstantkiwiNZ)
Hi from AK, NZ (Auckland, New
Zealand for those upover).
I'm a semi retired RN who still
has had no specific diagnosis
(since 1973 have been seeking an
answer) ... I have most of the
symptoms of ME and fibro but
there is no one who is willing
to label this. It's a help
yourself health system here and
one has to be very assertive to
get any tests done and I'm quite
worn out from it all. But life
goes on and my self help seems
to work most of the time.
Anyways, looking forward to
meeting you and finding more
alternatives and suggestions
here ... 'Live long and Prosper'
(I'm also a trekkie lol), and
run a couple of Yuku groups ...
InstantkiwiNZ for those
interested in blogging and Ulead
Unleashed for those interested
in making their own animations.
I spend a lot of time on the
computer and apart from my
social time outside .. I play
pool and bowls, not very well,
and it gets me out of the house
lol I have 2 daughters and 2
grandchildren aged 2yrs, and 5
months and these also take up a
lot of my time.

Greenlight
Hi, my name is Denise and I
am from Grayson, Kentucky. I am
happily married to my lovely
husband but was not blessed with
children. I was diagnosed with
fibromyalgia in 2004 and have
alot of the fun stuff that goes
along with it - CFS, IBS,
RLS...and a few other things on
top of that. But I must be
blessed because things could be
much worse. I try to spend as
much time outdoors as
possible...love going to parks
and just getting out into the
country and sitting on grandma's
porch listening to the birds and
squirrels on the hillsides. I'm
not sure what else to say at
this point, but I'm sure I will
remember something important or
interesting at some point to
add. Oh, yes, I am kind of shy
and quiet until I get
comfortable with people so
please bear with me. Thank you.
I'll try to post a photo on my
profile as soon as I get that
stuff figured out. Thanks again!
LIZZIE

Kaaran
Hi. My name is Kaaran. I live in
South Australia with my husband,
Arthur, my 16 yr old daughter,
Christine and her two friends,
Jarrad and Marc. (Long story!!!)
I have a daughter, Susan (22)
and a son, Shane (20) back in
Brisbane. We moved here in
December last year because I was
stressed out from work and felt
like a sea-change. We live 3
houses away from the ocean. I
had pain and tiredness even
though I was not working, and
the doc told me he thinks I have
Fibromyalgia. I didn't believe
him.
Christine hated it here. She was
suffering badly with anxiety and
depression, so in March I took
her back to live with the older
two kids. That was when my
illness smacked me hard, like a
demolition ball! On the plane
the pain started. It got worse
and worse. I went to visit two
friends who both have
Fibromyalgia. Through talking to
them I realised I do indeed have
FM. I feel it was exacerbated by
stress and depression. Having an
empty nest was so difficult, as
I had the kids young. I am not
yet 40... and love children so
much... Too young to have an
empty nest!!! Christine was
equally unhappy in Brisbane, so
one day she, Jarrad and Marc got
into Jarrad's car and ended up
here. That was a couple of weeks
ago. Now I have new stresses LoL!
I am talking too much... I will
conclude...
My best friend is my elderly
dog, Sammy. He is about 16. I
will be devastated when his time
is up, even though I know he
can't live forever.
I don't know how often I will be
able to post. I am a member of
too many places, and now I
hardly ever get time to Farm
(in Facebook)

Hi to you all. Well think many
of you will know who I am but
for anyone who doesn't .....here
goes.
I am 49 (just lol), mother of
five, nanna to two. Been married
to Phil for 14 and a half months
and glad to tell you we are
still very much in love and very
happy together.
I
had to give up work last year in
September because of depression
and in November after I had a
nervous breakdown. A Change of
meds seem to be helping me to
get back on my feet and am
hoping to be back in work by the
end of the year. I finally got
confirmation in December (after
waiting about 10yrs) that I have
fibromyalgia. At least now I
know what I am dealing with.
It feels so good to be back in
the group. I have missed you
all.

Nic
hi all my name is nic I'm 39 and
I live in Cumbria with my fiancé
Steve and my dog pixie.
I have had M.E for 22years now I
also have IBS, PCOS,
degeneration of the spine,
arthritis, 2 prolapsed discs and
fibro.
the illness led me to reach out
further into the spiritual world
which took me and still taking
me on my journey with reiki and
crystals.
I love anything to do with the
spiritual world angels, fairies
and nature itself.
I cant think of anything else to
say as I'm not good about talking
about myself
Dani
I'm Dani, had ME for 22
years, 16 of which severely
affected.
I'm married and have one son of
6 with another on the way due in
November this year.
It took me 20 years to get a
diagnosis which I finally got 2
years ago, at which time I was
assessed as being at around
10-15% of normal this is about
the level I stay at the moment.
The only suggestions from the ME
service was pacing - 20 minutes
activity and 30 minutes total
rest - this obviously isn't
possible with children so I was
discharged from them as there
was nothing they could do to
help. I receive no help
whatsoever from social services
as our social services "do not
support people with ME" (a
direct quote from them to my
health visitor!)
I enjoy this group as a very
good group of supportive friends
who are there for all the times,
good or bad, and are a great
source of information regarding
ME medications treatments and
coping strategies.
Jasminola
Hi, A little about
me.....I've been officially

my Reiki share group meetings. (
Money prevents me from

)
I have diplomas in various
holistic therapies.
My main interests now are
Angels, crystals and dipping
into anything spiritual!
