Class Introduction

Who should take my class? If you are a person who likes tech and wants to learn more about both computers and technology in general, you might be a candidate for my classes. If you set aside time for your own personal computer explorations, or if you want expand your computer skills, these may be an effective classes for you.

You must also know how to keyboard. I can help you with this, however.

 

What is the class like? All of my classes are hands on project driven classes. However, students will spend some time discussing, applying, and demonstrating what they have learned. This means individual and group projects with the occasional exam.

The purposes of this course are

  • To understand how to use computer operating systems and network resources.
  • To develop skill sets relating to the various computer application software packages taught.
  • To understand that strong information technology skills will assist in developing a rewarding career.
  • To use technology as a tool to bridge the distance between teacher and student.

 

What is the instructor like? Mr. Winters is an easy going, yet disciplined, instructor with many years of teaching experience.  He earned  BA and MA degrees from Idaho State University.  Both degrees were earned with high honors.  Mr. Winters enjoys all forms of technology as well as skiing, mountain biking, travel, kayaking and photography.
