Flowering Plants, Potted Plants and Plant Arrangements 

Premiums: 1st place $8, 2nd place $6, 3rd place $4, 4th place $3.

Rules:

Entries not conforming to the rules or schedules will be disqualified.
A sticker with the owners initials must be attached on the bottom of the container.
No artificial plant material other than a minimum amount of fruit and vegetables will be allowed.
Accessories may be used in the design unless otherwise specified.
An exhibitor may enter only one exhibit in any lot, either horticulture or artistic.
People that arrange flowers professionally or teach arranging are ineligible.
All plants and specimens must have been grown by the exhibitor.
Flowers for the arrangements may be purchased.

Class A: Flowering Potted Plants

Lots:

1. African violets
2. Begonias
3. Geraniums
4. Sultanas
5. Amaryllis
6. Any other flowering potted plant

Class B: Arrangements

Lots:
 
1. “Today’s special’ A mass design using any fresh flowers (no accessories permitted).
2. “Standing tall” A perpendicular design using any fresh plant material.
3. “Reminiscing” A design using an old object as a container using fresh plant material.
4. “Mellowed” A design of dried plant materials, driftwood, and any treated material 
    allowed.
5. “Double entry” A pair of go-together designs. Fresh plant material, no accessories.
6. “Small wonders” Miniature arrangements no taller than 8” using fresh materials.
7. “A trip to your favorite state” An arrangement using the state's flower as the focal
    point, accessorizing with any other state symbols.
8. “A trip to the calendar shop” An arrangement of annuals only.
9. “A trip through the heart” An arrangement incorporating your favorite animate object.
