Step 1 of your Web Quest It's now time to begin your journey across the state of Tennessee. Not only is the goal for you to learn, but to enjoy your journey. You know those things that I said you would need - you had better have them handy, because journey is about to begin. The following link will take you to a site where you can learn how to read and produce maps. You will draw a map of Tennessee. Follow the link through each step of making you map. After you finish the section for making your map, return to this page for step 2. Be sure to hang on to your map, because you will need to turn it in to me for a grade. http://www.tnhistoryforkids.org/geography/e_1 Step 2 of your Web Quest The next step in your journey is to take a virtual tour through the three grand divisions of Tennessee. You will learn about the similarities and differences among the three divisions and answer questions about them. You will need to have the printed quiz handy when you begin this section. You will turn this completed quiz in to me for a grade. Click on the link below to complete the activity on the three grand divisions. http://www.tnhistoryforkids.org/geography/e_4 Step 3 of your Web Quest The next leg of your journey will take you across the state to explore the six physical regions. This is a video tour, so sit back and enjoy your trip. As you watch the video, however, you may need to take notes, because you will have to draw and label the six physical regions on the Tennessee map that you printed. You will also need to write in the states that border Tennessee on this map. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1-xvZVEgYg&feature=channel_page Below is a web site where you can get the states that border Tennessee. http://www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/states/tennessee/ |
